Audi has unveiled the second-gen A5. With the launch of a new car just around the corner, many Audi dealers will be keen to give sizeable discounts on the current car to clear space in their showrooms. If you use Audi A5 configurator you can get a brand new car for a fantastic price.

The new A5 has been entirely redesigned and it shares not a single piece of sheet metal with its predecessor. It is based on Audi’s MLB Evo platform—and the new architecture allows for a plethora of cutting-edge driver-assistance and the telematics systems; a fully equipped A5 has the content of an upper-luxury vehicle. Inside, the new A5 can be fitted with fully electronic instrumentation in the form of a TFT screen; the slim and the futuristic dashboard is shared with the A4, and that’s a good thing.

The new A5 will be sold with a 5-strong engine range initially – 2 TFSI turbo petrols and 3 TDI turbodiesels. Power outputs range from 187bhp and 282bhp, and these engines are up to 17 percent more powerful – while also being up to 22 percent more efficient – than their predecessors.

Further efficiency boosts and performance come in the form of kerbweights that are up to 60kg less than before. Quattro variants and Front-wheel drive will be offered, and you’ve a choice between 6-speed manual and 7-speed S tronic transmissions, with an 8-speed auto standard on the 282bhp 3.0-litre TDI.

The grille has been repositioned and resized far lower than on the outgoing model. There are new Xenon headlights and LED taillights with excellent Matrix LED headlights an option.
