Sony announced the launch of a new VPL-HW45ES step-down model which will succeed the company’s immensely successful VPL-HW40ES. The new compact model in Sony’s HD projector range borrows technology from flagship models to deliver a ‘detailed and clear picture’.
The Sony VPL-HW45ES, the successor to the HW40ES, has been fitted with Sony’s Reality Creation tech and the SXRD panel that also features in the VPL-VW520ES 4K HDR projector.
The demand for high picture quality from projectors has been growing in the entertainment industry for many years, leading to Sony home cinema projectors seeing incredible advances for the living room. The new VPL-HW45ES has the same design chassis as the VPL-HW40ES, but the internal tech has been completely upgraded. This new projector delivers crisp pictures and reproduces colors which often lost in the packaging process, bringing you closer to 1080p original with 1,800 ANSI lumens brightness. SXRD panels, with the Reality Creation and Motionflow features, offering users the opportunity to project films in high cinematic quality in 2D and 3D, straight into their living rooms.
Other features including Motionflow enhancement technology, quiet operation, long-lasting lamp up to the 6000 hours, an inbuilt RF 3D transmitter, as well as a USB update function to keep the device’s firmware up to the date with the latest software releases. Flexible installations are permitted by the VPLHW45 is compact size and the front-facing exhausts. The projector is available in either black or white finish.
