Earlier this year, the Fossil introduced a pair of Android Wear watches called the Q Wander and Q Marshal. It was pegged for a spring release and the good news is that it’ll now be available for preorder. They’ll be in stores on August 29th. The watches start at $295.
First up, we’ve got the Q Wander. The case measures 44mm, compared to 46mm of the Q Founder. It also includes new wire lugs, that helps give it that slimmer look. The watch comes with a leather strap, but you can even swap it out for a different one of your choosing.
Next up, we’ve got the larger Q Marshal. The smartwatch measures 46mm and it features a more rugged case design. The grooves make it look similar to the Samsung Gear S2 Classic. The smartwatch will also be available in navy blue paired with a leather strap, a combination that appeals to me.
Both Android Wear watches are compatible with Android and iOS smartphones. They’ll relay notifications from your phone to your wrist and alerting you via vibrations form their haptic sensors. They’ll also play nice with Google Fit, Under Armour’s UA Record, MyFitnesPal and Jawbone’s UP.
The Q Marshal and Q Wander join a lineup of Q family smartwatches that now numbers more than 20. They are part of a large collection of wearables that Fossil says will number more than the 100 watches by the end of the year, all of which will ship to more than 40 countries.
