Apple has recently launched a (Product)Red version of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus to celebrate its continued commitment to the charity. The company has been a significant partner of the charity for many years raising over $130 million to date. Previously we have seen cases, watch straps, and even iPads in the color, and now time for the smartphone which get bright red color version.
The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus (Product)Red special edition is now available to order online worldwide and in stores. Both smartphone features red anodized shells, and unlike promotional shots that look a little washed out, the red is very strong in the flesh, indeed.
The new red versions are available as 128GB or 256GB of storage models, starting at $749 in the United States and £699 in the UK. Although the back side of the phone is red, and the front side is in Apple’s standard white color, and the logo of the company is also in the white color. There is no black / red variant of the both smartphones.
“Since we began working with (RED) 10 years ago, our customers have made a significant impact in fighting the spreads of AIDS through the purchase of our products,” said Apple’s CEO, Tim Cook.
Aside from the color, both Apple smartphones will be identical to the current iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus in terms of specs and come with any special edition wallpapers – something it did with a special edition of the Apple watch.
The company will not say about how long the (Product)Red variant of the both smartphones will be available for, only state that it is a “special edition.” The new iPhone red variant is available in the UK, US and more than 40 countries and regions, including Australia, Canada, China and much of mainland Europe. The phone will available in April in Brazil, India and other countries.
