HTC Bolt Launched With Outdated Hardware And No HeadPhone Jack

HTC has announced a new smartphone HTC Bolt on Friday morning. Bolt similar to HTC 10 and the smartphone comes with the last year software there’s no update on the software as well as there’s no headphone jack in the phone.


HTC Bolt Features

The smartphone comes with a larger 5.5-inch Super LCD display with the resolution of 2560 × 1440. The Bolt is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor- the last year’s processor. In terms of memory and storage Bolt bringing 3GB of RAM and 3GB of internal storage. If you want more storage to store the data then you can expand the storage with MicroSD card up to 2TB. Thankfully, HTC Bolt runs the latest Android 7.0 Nougat operating system, which is pre installed on the Bolt.

In terms of camera, Bolt has a 16-megapixel f/2.0 rear camera with OIS (suspiciously lacking the long-standing “UltraPixel” branding), and 8-megapixel front facing camera for selfies shooter.  The phone also has IP57 dust and water resistance.

Bolt boasts a 3,200mAh battery capacity with Quick Charge 2.0. Two separate slots are found on the right side, one for the MicroSD card and another for the SIM. Bolt comes in both Glacial Silver and Gunmetal colorways.

HTC Ditches The Headphone Jack

HTC Bolt lacks a 3.5mm headphone jack. Instead, there’s just a single USB Type-C port at the bottom of the device for the both purposes, charging and accessory connection. HTC has included a set of USB-C earbuds in the box. The company does plan on including a 3.5mm adapter in the box later this year, and will ship free adapters to consumers.

HTC BoomSound Adaptive Audio

HTC adds the company’s HTC BoomSound Adaptive Audio on HTC Bolt. Bolt is the first phone in which added this audio. HTC BoomSound adjust your environment seconds after you plug in your headphones. The best thing it all happens automatically, so you don’t have to fiddle around  in menus.

Sprint exclusive phone

Bolt is specifically for sprint and now available in Sprint stores. Sprint makes it the Sprint fastest smartphone ever. HTC partnered with Sprint was to take advantage of the carrier’s LTE Plus network, which supports 3×20MHz carrier aggregation. This will give the Bolt speeds of up to 300Mb/s.
