Huawei is probably best known in the world for its high-end smartphone, but its e-commerce brand Honor has also launched surprisingly nice devices like Honor 8. And now the company announced Huawei Honor Magic smartphone with dual camera setup and Curviest body. Unfortunately, The Magic phone in only slated to be sold in Huawei’s home country of China.
Huawei Honor Magic Features
The device comes with a 5.09-inch AMOLED curved display with QHD resolution 2560 × 1440 (577 ppi). It is available in Golden Black and Porcelain White.
The Magic phone is powered by Huawei Kirin 950 processor –the same octa-core SoC inside last year’s Mate 8, which is quite disappointing for a “concept phone” Regarding storage. The processor offers enough speed, but the GPU is rather weaker than chipset can’t handle 4K 2160p video capture which limits the camera capabilities. The smartphone comes with 4GB of RAM plus 64GB of internal storage. The Huawei Honor runs Android 6.0 with “Honors Magic Live OS.”
The company adds some impressive feature to the Honor Magic. One of these features is the “Wise Screen” sensor which combines a sensor in its frame and infrared sensor in the front-facing camera. Whenever the owner picks up the phone, the frame sensor, and the camera are supposed to recognize the owner’s hand and eyes, which then turn on the screen. And when the phone is put down by the owner or put away in the pocket, the screen is turned off in one second.
A similar feature called “FaceCode Intelligent Recognition” forces the phone into only displaying message notification when it recognizes the person holding the device.
The Honor Magic has a dual camera setup, a 12MP f/2.2 camera (color plus monochrome) on the back of the device. On the front, an 8MP camera f/2.4 aperture for selfies shooter.
Under the hood, the phone packs a 2,900mAh battery that gets 90 percent charge in half an hour with the Huawei Magic Power charger. It’s 20 minutes to 70 percent and 10 minutes to 40 percent, all while keeping the smartphone cool.
