World’s Thinnest 3X Optical-Zoom Smartphone: ZenFone Zoom Arrive In India

The ASUS ZenFone Zoom, the World’s thinnest 3X optical-Zoom Smartphone finally arrived in India, with 13 MP camera and a 10 element lens has been introduced in India. The smartphone which focuses on its camera prowess is priced at Rs 37,999 for 128 gigabyte memory variant and Asus is bundling a portable tripod and flash for Rs 39,999.


The Asus ZenFone Zoom is featured a 2.5GHz quad-core Intel Atom Z3580 processor and it comes with 4 gigabyte of RAM. The phone packs 128 gigabyte of internal storage that can be expanded up to 128 gigabyte via a microSD card. As far as the cameras are concerned, the Asus ZenFone Zoom packs a 13 MP primary camera on the rear and a 5 MP front shooter for selfies. The phone comes out with a 5.50-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1080 pixels by 1920 pixels at a PPI of 403 pixels per inch.

The Asus ZenFone Zoom runs Android 5.0 and is powered by a 3000mAh non removable battery. It measures about to 158.90 x 11.95 x 78.84 (height x thickness x width) and weighs 185.00 grams.

The Asus ZenFone Zoom is a single SIM (GSM) smartphone that accepts a Micro-SIM and
connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, NFC, FM, 4G (with support up to Band 40 used by some LTE networks in India). Sensors on the phone include Proximity sensor, Ambient light sensor, Accelerometer, and Gyroscope.

Based on the size and style, the Asus ZenFone Zoom looks like the equivalent of Nokia Lumia 1020 Android phone, at least in terms of design. Asus ZenFone Zoom was first showcased at CES 2015 and Asus is finally introducing it in India, nearly one year late.
