AOC recently launched a new AOC 27-inch PLS monitor, the P2779VC, with integrated Qi wireless charging base. The Qi wireless charging allows users to charge their compatible mobile devices by simply placing them on a stand. The AOC P2779VC is the company first monitor that wirelessly charges your mobile device.
The new monitor features a 27-inch Full HD display with the resolution of 1920 × 1080 and PLS panel and high definition connections. The monitor has a 20,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio and a 5ms gray-to-gray (gtg) response rate. The display’s Plane to Line Switiching PLS panel gives 178/178 degree viewing angle while maintaining consistent image quality and colors from all viewing positions.
The PLS panel has true 8-bit color depth that provide the incredible color accuracy and features a matte anti-glare coating that will not leave fingerprints or smudges. PLS is perfect for video editing, graphic designing and photo retouching. Users can also view their spreadsheets or weekend movies from virtually any angle without compromising color uniformity.
The display integrates a VGA port, two HDMI 1.3 connections, a headphone jack, and a Kensington lock, while two HDMI cables and a single VGA cable are included in the box. The monitor comes only in a single color combination; black with a gold base.
The main reason why you should consider this monitor is of course the Qi Wireless charging pad on its base. The monitor’s Qi Wireless Charging Base removes the hassle of cables and allows the users to keep their device in view while charging and using the display, without having to worry about finding an outlet nearby. Compatible devices include Samsung Galaxy S5-6/ Edge, Google Nexus 4-7, Motorolla Droid Maxx, and Nokia Lumia 920-1520, among others.
The AOC 27 inch monitor with wireless charging base will be available in the United Stated at Amazon, Best Buy, and NewEgg for $249.99.
